Whoops – I take it back, I’m using CC.

    Version 13.1.1.3

Any clues? Thanks for any help!

I’m sorry, I should have clarified: I just meant that my Creative Cloud membership is up to date, I don’t actually even use Premiere CC and it’s not DLed to my machine – but I pay for it through CC.

Hmmm, how strange… Good to know. I’m 80% sure I didn’t use that button but, I’ll double check and try it again. Thanks for the advice!

Well, this was ripped from a DVD using Handbrake and transcoded to .mp4 and H.264 codec so I wasn’t anticipating this sort of problem. There were 4 DVDs – two about an hour long and two about 90 minutes. It could be coincidence but, the hour long presentations are synced just fine. All the files aren’t particularly big in any case.

I do have MPEG Streamclip so, I may just try that for the hell of it. Thanks for the suggestions!

  • A-ha. Gotcha. Yeah, that’s kind of what I was worried about. Welp, I appreciate your time, fellas, thanks!

For my purposes, the Turbulent Displace works great! Thanks so much for the suggestion, my friend. Cheers.

Sorry, should have been more detailed.

CS6 – no raytracing. I actually just remembered there is a bit of motion blur but it’s on maybe 6 words that are small and onscreen for all of 3 seconds. I’m rendering right to the desktop and using Apple ProRes 422 (HQ)

I should also mention that I even dropped it to Half resolution (while still at 100% quality).

Ah-ha! I was just responding to you and figured out the step I missed – I didn’t click on Mask Path under the mask properties – I had only clicked on the mask itself so it kept wanting to make a new mask.

Got it figured out with your help – thanks so much!
