To be honest I don’t know what I need, I’m totally new to this. I thought I needed mocha to get the tracking data?? Your saying I can use the Match Move to accomplish 3d text motion tracking all within Vegas?

    How do I do that?

    Thanks

    Thanks alot John,

I have all that set up now. Can you give me some advice on the best way to track text. I have watched a tut about drawing the large box around the spot you want to track and then putting the other area inside(corner pin?). I followed that, but when I got back to vegas the “tracking file” was not matching with the source footage. This is my 1st time attempting this so I’m probably not doing it correctly.

I have some footage of a small waterfall, the camera pans. I want to place some text(from generated media?) in area where the water fall is. I also want to use 3d source alpha so I can use the videos track track motion to alter the text to be inline with the waterfall.

I have been wanting to learn how to do this for a while now, any tips would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Thanks for the response Mike. Do you happen to know much about the product? I was checking the website and saw that the suite is like 700$ Do you have to get the whole suite or can you get just looks or I am confused 🙂

I really just want to be able to generate different CC’s

Also are you using Magic bullet Looks 2 or 1? If you using version 1 is version 2 supported?

I’m pretty sure. I am using all the same settings. And when viewing the clip properties everything seems to match.

    The files are originally .m2ts

    I render using MainConcept AVC/AAC .mp4(both times)

Well found a workaround(I guess). If I highlight everything in the project by dragging the cursor above the timeline, which makes a loop region?, and then render like that the audio comes out fine :/

Using the same Sony AVC(.mp4,.m2ts adn .avc) and rendering to .mp4 instead of .m2ts I do not have to do the hightlight for the audio to come out.

Whats even more strange, on my old XP box, I do not have to highlight anything for the .m2ts render audio to come out.

    Very strange

    Daniel,

No they are not muted. When play it from Vegas the sound is fine. When I render it as mp4 the sound is fine

Thanks for the reply John, I am importing m2ts files.

One note about render time, much faster!!! Before 3+ hours now 20min 🙂

Well I have my new system and was wondering about the performance. Its 95% good BUT still just a little laggy(worse in some spots). Is this expected? Task manger shows CPU running about 20% with spikes up to 30% while video is playing. I was expecting zero lag.

    Thoughts?
