    How big is your cube?

you can only make a fillet equal to half the size of your cube.

  • You could try deleting your preferences folder.

If that doesn’t work, I would report it to Maxon. They should be able to help.

That is…assuming you have entered a path in the File Location on the Save tab of the render settings?

I’ve seen this happen on some systems when trying to render to the desktop. Usually rendering to a folder on a drive solves it for my students.

    Hi Sam –

On my site I have the option to purchase 25 tutorials getting you started in C4D. They are for older versions, but would most likely get you going:

    C4D Tutorials

    It’s $10.99 for 288 minutes of tutorials.

I’m sure there are other options out there as well….

    I’ll second that!

Adam, though we’ve never talked, I admire all the time you spend setting up examples for the folks here on the forums.

(and thanks to Lance for starting this thread)

August 31, 2013 at 12:20 am in reply to: Noob wants to do a turntable animation in Cinema 4D

    I did use a circle… been a while.

One thing to be aware of is that if you are going to loop the animation…Cinema auto eases the keyframes, so you’ll get a speed up at the beginning and a slow down at the end. If you plan on looping you’ll need to change the interpolation of the two keyframes.

As you’ll see in the comments, there are several ways to do this exact thing. You could animate the circle rather than the position of the Align to Spline tag.

I have a turntable tutorial here:

I used a helix in my tutorial, but you could select a circle instead.

Hope it helps. Let me know if you have questions.

    Sure thing…

I did fool around with it a bit more adjusting the two extrudes positions and managed to get it without any gaps at the top (which then requires no bridging)

It’s not exactly what you have in your sketch, but it’s close. If you made it into a single mesh, you could potentially work with points/edges to get exactly what’s in your sketch.
