August 4, 2013 at 7:14 pmYou could do it with a Boole. I created the 2 letters as extrudes, rotated one 90 degrees. I put them both in a Boole and set the Boole to A Intersect B. This creates some gaps at the top…probably could fiddle with it a bit, but I just made everything editable and combined it into a single mesh. Then I just bridged the holes.

I did fool around with it a bit more adjusting the two extrudes positions and managed to get it without any gaps at the top (which then requires no bridging)
It’s not exactly what you have in your sketch, but it’s close. If you made it into a single mesh, you could potentially work with points/edges to get exactly what’s in your sketch.
