Yes, installed and unistalled several times.. also the same thing with V 10.1. Don’t know if there’s some preferences file or similar that could be reset..

Well, the usb controller seems to work perfectly with all other devices. Have tried both usb2 and usb 3 ports, as I suppose they have different controllers.

Hi, I’ve tried several ports directly to computer, doesn’t help. Tried the dongle with another computer and Resolve opened just fine.. but not on my main rig. Have installed and uninstalled several times but nothing seems to make a difference.

Hi, your system looks nice, a good gpu and mobo.

If I were you I’d get a Blackmagic Ultrastudio SDI card or an Intensity card with USB3 interface, to output your image via HDMI or SDI to a grading monitor, which could be a good quality calibrated plasma display, Panasonic VT50 series for example. Or better still, a Sony OLED or some other reference monitor.

A GPU with 3-6 GB VRAM would also be great, especially if you’re working with larger than HD image sizes in the future. You may need a larger power supply with 2 GPU:s.

And I recommend dividing it to more than 2 projects/reels before rendering. just had to divide a 1,5h film into 5 reels before could render it without errors, RED and DPX FX shots etc..

This was with V9, don’t know if it’s better with V10.

December 3, 2013 at 8:16 am in reply to: 660 Ti for Resolve Light?

I have the 670 4GB card for image processing and it’s wonderful. Faster than my 580 3 GB. I think you should get real-time performance with 660ti, my system is running realtime until something like 15-16 nodes on HD material.

If I were you I’d upgrade the PSU and put the 550 to run the GUI and 660ti for image processing. Or just get something like GTX285/640 for gui and 660 for processing. Especially if you’re using internal scopes, the GUI GPU really helps. (I haven’t tried the v10, my experience is with Resolve 9)

Ok. That still feels like a good option to have a database folder. Thanks.

Does that option save the projects as separate .drp files?

November 28, 2013 at 7:30 am in reply to: Resolve crash- project gone

The crash report points to the BlackmagicUSB driver and I’ve read that some people have had BSOD crashes with the Desktop Video 9.8. in Windows. I will stay away from that version now.

In the future I’ll do lots of project export backups to a separate harddrive, several times a day.
