    Hi Kannan,
Reinstalling Color Finale fixed my issue and the adjustment layers are there, so I’m afraid I don’t have any answers for you. Have you emailed Denver Riddle? Due to increased workload he only checks his email twice a day, but he responds quickly and has been very helpful. Good luck.

Here’s the support notes from Denver Riddle. Skip to #3.

    1) If you’re running Mavericks 10.9 you may experience
a crash or it won’t function properly; currently we’re
not supporting Mavericks (we have stated this)

    2) Even if you’ve updated to Yosemite but have an older graphics
card supporting OpenCL v1.0 this will cause a crash in Final Cut.
Color Finale requires OpenCL v1.2 click

    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202823

To see if your graphics card supports OpenCL v1.2

    3) If after installing you don’t see the “Open” button to
launch CF in the inspector, make sure the ‘ColorFinale’ app
has been moved to the main /Applications folder.
If that still doesn’t work please move to trash bin
and reinstall from .dmg (make sure FCP X is closed while reinstalling)

    4) If you’re a prior LUT Utility owner and want to use your
same LUTs in CF, run the ‘ColorFinale’ app from main Applications
folder. Go to “File” then down to “Import from LUT Utility”
this is a migration assistant. Be sure to RESTART FCPX to
refresh the changes. ALSO IMPORTANT THAT YOU DON’T HAVE
ANY LUTS APPLIED IN THE TIMELINE WHILE PERFORMING THIS.

    5) If you want your LUTs to show up as ‘Groups’ you can do this
    by going to /Movies/Motion Templates/Effects/Color Finale/LUTs
in the Finder and creating groups with folders. Restart FCP X
to refresh the changes. OR you can use create ‘Groups’ with
LUT Manager, which you can run from ‘ColorFinale’ app or within LUT Utility tool.

The folks at Apple must be grinning from ear to ear at how all this speculation about the Mac Pro has created so much interest and attention around their lowest selling product. Right before their biggest conference, no less.

Happy to help another Tim out.
Thought I’d change the subject line to help keep duplicate threads from appearing.

I consider it the first bit of information that confirms that something is happening with the MacPro.

I’ve had the same problem. Using break apart clip items seems to be the common denominator. I have the original media and using the different importing options doesn’t make a difference. I’ve found that making the one unsupported audio channel a compound clip brings back the mono/stereo choices in the inspector. Don’t know how that affects OMF export.

    [Sohrab Sandhu] “Remember that book

    ‘Who moved my Cheese?’

I hope Apple does not move our’s!”

If that is your worry then I think you missed the point of the book.

  • [Aindreas O Gallchoir] “why are they listing as key benefits auto tools to compensate for shoddy audio and bad camera shake?”

This comment, repeated by more than a few on these forums in the last few days, is starting to bother me more than others. I’d really like to see the raw footage from people like Aindreas, which judging from their comments, is shot so perfectly as to never need grading or correction. I’ll assume as well that the audio they get never needs sweetening or adjusting because it’s always perfectly recorded on location. It was stated early on that the auto tools in FCX are nondestructive, so why wouldn’t you at least see what this feature can do to speed up your workflow before calling it a prosumer, iMove feature? And why are people assuming that these features are not customizable? What proof do they have that they are going to be stuck with one way of editing or one workflow?
To answer your question: they listed these features because they wanted to impress upon people the powerful new engine running FCX. In short, they’re showing off, they’re bragging, and if you could see past the hysteria perpetuated by you and others on these forums you might just be a little impressed by the potential of the product.
