  • Hi Mike,
Wasn’t sure if anyone answered this yet, but I have a short answer for ya.

Yes, but its not ideal. I just downloaded stock footage in Pal 25fps and had to convert it up to 30fps for TV. If you import the footage into your project file at the Frame rate and size that you are going for, and pull in the footage it should still play fine in the time line. Keep the Pal Sequence settings because Premier will ask you if you want to change it when you pull the footage in. From there, render to your specs. I have done this a few times and it worked fine, so If you have any problems shoot me an email. I can walk ya through it.

    Hi,
Yes, I have had this same problem.

You are correct. The H.264 Mp4 Codec is probably the most compatible and lets you adjust the MB Per Second. make sure if you are uploading to youtube or Vimeo…that you don’t exceed 15-20mbs. They really only take around 10-12 so you are wasting your time if you do.

Make sure you Render at maximum depth and highest quality.

On the VBR Pass, make sure its only 1 pass or you will be rendering for days!

If you want to know the exact settings I use, (and they are awesome) i can send you a screen shot.

    Hi Tom,
There is a Couple New Really Nice Settings in The Adobe Premier Pro CC in the Effects Settings. But I use Magic Bullet Looks. Its a 2nd Hand Plugin but you can basically give it any look you want. Has tons of Cinema Style Presets, and even noticed they have a Cosmo Plugin that Lets you actually Airbrush People like in photoshop but in Premier. Best One i have used yet. You really only need the magic Bullet looks, but Red Giant makes a ton of amazing plugins. If you need more info, let me know.

It is probably your output settings. In the Render area, make sure your input Video Size and settings are the same as your output. If that doesnt work, you can also crop those black bars out in the render setting as well. Generally its because your Sequence setting doesnt match your video. You can also Size your video to match the Sequence setting in the Video editing time line. Just click on the Video and size it accordingly.

    Hope this Helped.

August 19, 2013 at 8:19 pm in reply to: Importing VOB files in Premiere Pro

    HI,
You should just be able to drag and drop the VOB files into Premier Pro. IF this doesnt work, you can use the import feature under FILE, IMPORT, IMPORT DISC. This should do it. IF not, respond and I can make you a tutorial on it.

August 19, 2013 at 8:18 pm in reply to: Encoding to .WMV from Premier Pro 6

There are WMV Codecs for Adobe CS Premier all over the web. To be honest, I would export it in h.264 mp4, and tell your client that this is versatile for Mac and PC, and has a nicer resolution then .Wmv. Wmv files are kinda outdated and most people that want them, dont know that they can use other codecs.

August 19, 2013 at 8:02 pm in reply to: How to export a mixed frame rate video from Premier Pro

    HI,
Its actually pretty easy. Just Pick a Sequence setting, (i would say 24fps) and do the project in that. When you export it, export it at 24 or 29, and it will conform it to meet your frame rate. IF you are using CS5 or higher, it has an awesome way of blending everything. Should work no problem.
