    Hi all,
thanks for the thoughts – only just had a chance to log on again. I burnt the ISO’s straight out of Encore – just used Nero to try and read them. I did the NTSC build from scratch as an NTSC project so all aspect ratios / pixel size etc should be okay. I sent the rep house the straight DVD and that seems fine. Just an odd occurence and hopefully a one off.
    Thanks again,

    Hi,
I have a Pioneer DVR-111L which, aparently now having done a firmware update, defaults to DVD-ROM with +R disks with most burning apps – so it does not appear in the DVD writer list in IMGBurn. I’m going to get the copies done by another company anyway so i’ll see if they can burn from an ISO as opposed to a master disk. Do you recomend a DVD writer that will allow me to change book types?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
Bit of clarification – i’ve burnt an image with IMGBurn to a DVD+R. With DVD Decrypter the info says the Physical Format (ADIP) disk book type is DVD+R and that the Physical Format (Last Recorded) is DVD-ROM. So do i have a DVD-ROM now?
    Thanks,

    Hi,
I’m editing in PPro and export to AVI – Procoder AVI to MPEG – MPEG into Encore for DVD creation with some editing in Photoshop.

    So are you saying basically:
    1. from encore build to image file.
    2. burn image with another, 3rd party, application – i’ve got Nero 6 (would that work? Or does it have to be IMGBurn?)

Not sure what you mean by ‘book-type’?

    Thanks,
    Tim Bond

    Hi Jeff,
Yep that was interesting. I’ll let my client know. Is it possible to RIP my DVD on a Mac then reburn it to produce a Mac playable DVD? That will also play on PC’s and Set-tops?
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Hi,
Will that work for audio as well? So if i create, say, two seconds of black video and silence with a one second fade up / fade down that will cover the end of a menu to a start of another menu? (I’m not in front of my editing machine right now) If i have my main menu sitting there with music playing and click on a sub menu button the screen will gracefully fade to black / silence and then in again on the sub menu with my two second dip to black avi in the middle?
    Thanks,
    Tim

    Hi,
If i double click a timeline nothing seems to happen. I have the menu up on the left screen and everything else on the right – does it appear ‘behind’ my menu screen and i’ll need to undock it to see ‘behind’?
    Thanks,
    Tim
