October 16, 2014 at 3:27 pm in reply to: Can’t access track audio keyframes

Found the fix. Posting it here in case other editors experience the same issue and stumble across this post.

To be able to see the track keyframes I had to enable the “Show FX Badges” found in the Timeline Display Settings (the wrench menu on the timeline):

And now you can see my issue is resolved:

In case someone else comes along with this same issue, here’s the solution:

You have to select Stretch and Pitch (process) from the Time and Pitch under Effects on the menu bar. The Time and Pitch options in the Effects Rack don’t have what you need.

Ok, figured it out. The trick is to click on the layer or group NAME in the layers window, then select Release to Layers (Sequence) from the fly out.

Sounds great, but I’ve tried this multiple times now within both Illustrator CC & CS5. Select all the layers, choose Release to Layers (Sequence) from the fly out window…nothing happens.

    Yeah, that didn’t work either.

Will try to create the file path as you listed it and see if that works.

Thanks for the reply. I’m on Windows.

Trouble is, there’s no After Effects CC folder in the My Documents/Adobe folder. There’s a CS4, a CS5, and a folder titled simply “After Effects” which is where I initially placed a copy of my presets. Aside from the presets I placed there, there’s nothing inside that After Effects folder, either.

I will create a “User Presets” folder there, place my presets inside, restart AE…and report back with a win or fail.

May 24, 2013 at 6:29 pm in reply to: One node VS two node camera: Best uses

I’ve been setting keyframes for position and point of interest (keyboard shortcut A), then using the camera tools (C) to automatically create keyframes down the timeline.

Dave, could you upload a down-and-dirty example of this 2 null rig set up in a CS5 or earlier project?

When I directly selected a point on the path I was able to uncheck RotoBezier.
