  • to add to this, is there a way to connect a clip manually if it can’t find the file? I am also having some conform issues with mixed footage from HDV and p2. and i dont’ think the metadata from the EDL is holding up being mixed with r3d. all the r3d links perfect, and just the hdv and p2 don’t link up. It would be great if there was a way just select the black hole clip on the timeline and connect it to the file in my media pool manually and force…

You’ll have to pull power from where you put your second super drive there with an adapter cable. Even then it can cause instability, but you can always try. You’re better off getting a gt 120 for your gui, or two quadros.

Ok this is driving me INSANE. I don’t have a davinci or black magic folder in my application supports folder. I have NO clue where the luts files are for my da vinci. I go to my system root, library, app support, and there’s nothing labelled as black magic or da vinci.

I really need to get these LUTS in, does anybody have an idea why I don’t have this folder?

well a lot of the built in luts i wanna bring into resolve too. most of them are .cube so they should import fine. but I just can’t find the folder where RESOLVE gets all it’s luts from! I wanted some of the presets for cine files, si 2k, and some arri stuff so I can put base color temp and gamma on the raw files I have, bypassing the need for speedgrade.

I also have some mixed footage shot on p2 and HDV for some clips. I have to transcode and conform some of this footage because the HDV stuff is in 29.97, and da vinci doesn’t see the codec. The dvcpro hd imports fine, but because of the pixel shifting the aspect ratio is off. So I plan to transcode all the stuff to 23.98 pro res. but my question is, if the metadata doesn’t hold up especially with the hdv stuff and da vinci has a hard time relinking to it, is there a way for me to select the clip on the timeline and reconnect the media? I know you can do this in COLOR, but I can’t seem to find any option to choose a clip and manually reconnect it to something on my hard drive…
