    Thanks for your very detailed reply sorry I did not get back sooner as I was on Holidays. On the project I was working on as I said I changed the pip shots and used different shots I have moved on to a new project I have saved your reply on fast moving cure for pip and will use it next time I need to. Again tanks for taking the time to help

    Thanks everyone who took the time to reply to my question. The idear of the subject message was to get more replys which it did as I love using Vegas to edit. Reduce interlace flicker fixed near all of the problem but a few fast moving shots (which I have now replaced) I may be tempted to go for one of the systems suggested by Art
    ( you could just buy a mac, final cut pro, or avid excess, and not only will it do pip for you all by itself perfectly but it will make your coffee and fluff your pillow at bedtime!)

    Thanks to all who posted on my problem with the hardrive all seems OK now I was advised to change the ribbon cable to the hardrive and so far all is well again thanks for your input.

    Gary is there no handier way than this I have a 1 hour long wedding service on track 1 with at least 10 inserts some only 2 seconds long and as you know it can be very fiddley finding these to select I am coming from a different editing system where what I am trying to do was simple

    The original render to AVI was near 1 hour the re render was just over 35 mins the changes made to events were for re render were 3 minutes long is this the norm
    Yes it is an AVI I have a MPEG2 file of the same project as well but I did nothing to it

    Thanks for your help I am new to vegas and struggling a bit I have done as you have said made anew AVI file and at the moment vegas is rendering all the project not only the bit that was changed obviously I am doing something wrong and am grateful for any help from any of you experts that take all this for granted
