Thanks again. I tried the edit as usual but with a fresh reboot of the PC and everything worked as it should. I’ll keep an eye on this and get back to you if I see a persistent problem. Thanks for your help,

Hi David, you suggested transcoding footage to a different codec. Which codec did you have in mind?

Haven’t tried it yet but soon will.

The Atomos can also record in DnxHD, do you think I’d encounter the same error with a different codec?

The Atomos is recording ProRes 422. If you think transcoding to a different codec would make a difference I’m all for trying it. What would you suggest?

The footage is recorded by an Atomos Shogun in .mov format. If I were to transcode, what would I transcode to?

Some of the clips are nine minutes long. I could break the clip into smaller clips and retime them individually, is that what you’re suggesting? If so, what do you think is a better length for the clips?

The other thing I’ll try is rebooting the PC and running only Resolve so it has the entire system.

Marc, I cannot find the Opacity control. You are exactly right in describing the effect I want. I used a power window and tracked the face i want to blur, but only need the effect for part of the clip.
Since I’m a newb, could you explain in a bit more detail?
