Thank you Matt. You’re right, 8.2.2 is what I’m using, I neglected to mention that.

October 5, 2005 at 9:23 pm in reply to: any more Boris news?

My situation is that I’ve got seven suites, six are Media 100XR and one is Final Cut. All seven systems are working day and night. Final Cut is a tremendous, tremendous system. As my guys get to know it, they love it more and more.

My problem is that I’m 47 and it’s the old dog new tricks problem. It would be so much easier for me if Boris could make the Media 100 products’ prices competitive with Final Cut and if they could make the features competitive; then keep them current. Then I would much prefer to stay with Media 100. I know the system in my sleep. I know more tricks than I could learn in a year on a new system.

We get that message somewhat regularly. We try different things to work around it. I’ll take note of what drive the problem media is digitized to and I’ll dump the media and digitize it to another drive. That sometimes solves it.

Sometimes I’ll just reboot and that will take care of it.

With most of the problems we encounter, I tell my guys to not take the time to figure it out and understand it, just respect the voodoo and try a handful of different work-arounds. Good luck.

The file structure was damaged, so I had to delete all of the media and start over. Thanks for everyone’s help.

Thank you, Floh. I downloaded Disk Warrior and followed the steps. When I applied it to the Medea drive that’s not being recognized, it said, “Directory cannot be rebuilt, the disk format is unsupported”. Any ideas? Thanks.

    I think the 8.2.2 upgrade is $500.

I goofed. My problem was that my computer was not recognizing the atto card. We solved it by pushing it really hard into the slot. Thanks Floh.
