I’ve got a 5/1000 RTR and an RT 720 hooked up to a G4 dual 1 ghz w/2 gig ram, running 10.3.8. They’re hooked up by an ATTO UL3D card.

    Media 100 XR card

The system has been running wonderfully for months.

We just rebooted and everything shows up on the desktop except the 5/1000 RTR and a there’s a window saying:

“You have inserted a disk containing no volumes that Mac OSX can read. To continue with the disk inserted, click ignore.” Then it gives me three choices: initialize, ignore or eject.

The RTR seems fine, how do I get it to be recognized again without having to re-initialize?

Most likely the file structure on your HD was damaged. My first choice would be DiskWarrior to check the drive. This usually fixes this kind of problems. Norton DiskDoctor or TechTool could help also.

Thank you, Floh. I downloaded Disk Warrior and followed the steps. When I applied it to the Medea drive that’s not being recognized, it said, “Directory cannot be rebuilt, the disk format is unsupported”. Any ideas? Thanks.

The file structure was damaged, so I had to delete all of the media and start over. Thanks for everyone’s help.
