Thanks for that. Any place I can check out the proper Vegas related syntax?

Hey Jorma, thanks for that!
Googling for “vegas pro 13 + download development kits” doesn’t yield anything I appear to be able to use.
https://download.sonymediasoftware.com/dev/ looks like I should be able to use it, but I don’t entirely understand it.
The second from last option “vegasscriptsdk.zip” looks like the correct choice for me, but would you be able to say if there’s a better option, based on what I’m trying to do?Thank you!

September 12, 2016 at 2:12 pm in reply to: Render of FFMPEG Copy lower quality than Original Render?Hi László,
Thanks for the response! That sounds like a pretty intricate method of comparison; I really appreciate it.
I did suspect that the lesser quality was just me being nitpicky and expecting that my method was incorrect and you’ve pretty much assured me of that.
Thanks for your time.

I decided to look into FFmpeg. This is certainly the best tool to use for a job like this. I’ll have to look into creating a simple GUI for my use.

I used AviDemux and Vegasaur Smart Trim. For both of them, the resulting video had a video strip and an audio strip. That audio strip composed of a combination of the three original audio strips.
The video is H.264 encoded mp4 and I believe the audio is also mp4? I don’t fully understand how these things work.
I say “strip” as in it is a seperate audio stream. I have one for microphone, one for desktop/game, one for VoIP. I’m thinking I’m using the incorrect term, but hopefully you can understand what I mean with that explaination.

Hey Aleksey, I’ve tried some of your suggestions, but I’ve found that each time I try to trim my file, it saves with a single audio strip instead of the three on the original file.
Do you know of any tools to retain each audio strip seperate as well as cut a large raw file?

I’d like to avoid that in order to maintain quality.
Is there any other program you know of that can cut the original footage without requiring a render? -
Thank you very much!
I missed that “Animate” button. -
I’m not exactly sure what you mean by selecting a keyframe.
I see that I can set keyframes in the Pan/Crop tab of the Video Event FX window, but I only see that applying to a “zoom” effect.I’m also not sure what you mean by “set it to ‘smooth'”. Could you elaborate?
Thank you!

August 11, 2016 at 3:40 pm in reply to: Vegas Pro 13 – Constantly Loading Frame – High CPU UsageSo I guess I lied.
I hadn’t messed with my CPU Preset in a while, but I found that using “Veryfast” does work with my system. It is explained as the “sweet spot” by an admin on this OBS forum and, though my CPU has high usage (sometimes skims just below 99%) when running the high-CPU-usage game (Overwatch) and OBS Studio at Veryfast, it doesn’t max out for noticeably long periods of time, meaning that I am able to record at higher quality without the game freezing up (too much).I don’t fully understand the other settings on the Video Output tab, though, so I’m not sure if I should be using CRF or some other option.
Just figured I’d correct myself in the case that you find “anything short of Ultrafast gives me issues” to be odd.
Thank again.
P.S.: I can’t imagine that anything using a preset lower than “Fast” could be used by a system not running multiple processors. I’m not sure how outdated by CPU is, but it was pretty high end at the time of purchase. Granted, that was about a year ago and PCs grow old at like 6 months, but still.
