Did you try to make a selection of your subject (using the appropriate selection tool) and reduce the selection with 1 pixel? Then you can inverse the selection and delete the content of the selection (thus deleting this 1-pixel area).

One easy possibility would be: person 1 captures all footage and finishes his part and then saves the veg file to an external harddisk while selecting the option COPY MEDIA WITH PROJECT
Person 2 receives the external harddisk, copies all the files to his internal harddisk and finishes the editing.
Only when person 1 uses nested veg files, there could be a problem, since the footage of the nested veg files is not automaticly saved. So he either has to save this footage manually or use Production Assistant, which will also save the footage of the nested files automaticly.

Soundforge will open your clip and you can edit the audio from there, save (it will save a copy of the changed audio file back in your Vegas project) and Vegas will reflect your changed audio back in your timeline.”
You can do exactly the same with Soundbooth (Go to OPTIONS-PREFERENCES-AUDIO tab and set Soundbooth as your favorite audio editor).
Soundbooth has the advance that you can select pieces of disturbing noise in the spectral view and repair this without disturbing the rest of the spectral view. I don’t know about the latest version of Soundforge, but in version 8 this was not possible.

I would first just try the normal DV video encoder before purchasing the Mainconcept DV

I use Adobes Soundbooth for that. It can do great things in reparing sound.

Does Vegas reset the settings of the color correction fx immediatly? Or after closing and re-opening the FX window? Or after closing and re-opening the project?
Do you apply the color correction fx to an event, a track or a whole project?

The easiest way to always be able to undo effects, even after saving, closing and re-pening the file, is to work on layers (including layer copies and adjustment layers)

Do you have HARDNESS set to 100%?

Did you create the stroke with the FX tool in the layers tab?

Subtitles can be added in DVD Architect. You can import subtitles as .sub or .txt files. The DVD Architect manual shows you the whole procedure.
