The infrared look can easily be generated with the channel mixer.

  • Is this plugin not ‘talking’about the preview window of Boris itself? You find the buttons for setting the preview quality below the preview window.

In case you are trying this in Vegas, please note that stabilisation will not work when you just add the Boris plugin to an event on the Vegas timeline, since there is still the problem that Vegas is only sending 1 frame to Boris. The only way to do this, is to render the event to an DV-avi file, add the plugin to the event on the Vegas timeline, open Boris, place the rendered avi-file on the Boris timeline and add the stabilisation plugin.

A quick way to get the white color back:

Add the Sony color corrector FX

You will see three color wheels.
Every colorwheel has two pipets: one left and one right of the wheel.
To set the white color, click on the left pipet of the right color wheel

The shape of the mouse changes into a pipet
Now click on the pink ice. It should change to white.

If you are not satisfied with the result, just repeat the procedure and click on another piece of ice.

If you want to normalize all audio tracks together, can’t you just import the project as a nested file into a new project and normalize the single audio track you get in the new project?

Photoshop can give each generated files automaticly a unique number (like the frame number), but ofcourse you will have to remember which frames you edited.

Hmmm, I like problems that get more complicated every time, but the proper answer is also getting more complicated.

Suppose that the other effects on all the events involved are all identical. Then you can select all the involved events via the SELECT TIMELINE EVENTS trick, remove all the effects that are present already with the use of a script and simply add the effects by copy (from the dummy event) and PASTE attribute.

But if those FX are not identical for all the involved events…

If I understand you well, then it is quit easy:
First add the FX you want to add to just a random (dummy) event (you will remove this effect afterwards) and copy the event.
Then select all the events you want the fx added to in the project media tab as you suggested. Now instead of adding an media fx, just right click and select SELECT TIMELINE EVENTS.
Then right click on one of the selected events on the timeline and select PASTE EVENT ATTRIBUTES. Now you just have to remove the fx from the dummy event and you are done.

Ok, I’n not sure whether I understand now better what you want. But I think you are looking for FILE-EXPORT-RENDER VIDEO- and select a picture format like PNG, JPEG, TIFF, PSD etc.

November 4, 2009 at 8:16 pm in reply to: Including markers when nesting

The original markers from the nested file will be displayed as media markers in the new project. You can not change these markers on the timeline, but when you open the nested file in the trimmer (right click on the event and select OPEN IN TRIMMER) you can edit the markers.
