You can first play the inroduction media, link it to the first menu and use the same introduction media as background for the menu. So this introduction media will loop while a button appears only in the second round. This biutton can link toa second menu with choises for all the video content. If I understand you well, this is what you would like to make.

Yes you can make multiple projects from the same media. Save your project under a different name, delete all the tracks and start editing again. All the media will still be present in the project media tab.

Go to FILE-AUTOMATIC and choose the appropriate option
Note that with this method you place your picture straight, which isdifferent from the ruler method I mentioned before. That one can be used e.g. to make the horizon straight

You can make a action for that. Then you can run all your files in one just a few mouse-clicks.

Once you have made your selections, you can copy them to a new layer with Ctrl J.
Changing the canvas size goes via Ctrl Alt C.
