Ofcourse the shadow from the track motion windowis affected by keyframes. Just click on the right (shadow) track at the bottom of the track motion window…

But realise that Movie Studio is the consument version of Vegas. Vefas Pro is now at version 9 and has many more options then the Movie Studio version. Check here for the differences:

To add a crossfade to multiply photo’s, you can go to OPTIONS-PREFERENCES-tab EDITING and select AUTOMATICALLY OVERLAP MULTIPLE….. You have to set this BEFORE adding the pictures to the timeline.
When the clips are already on the timeline, you can use one of the several scripts that are available on the internet.

The best way to do this in Vegas is to use the Graffitti plugin:

To change the size of the photos individually, there are two options:
1) Place every picture on its own track (not very convenient when you have a lot of pictures).
2) Use the keyframe tool that you find at the bottom of the track motion window. There you can change the track motion settings in time.

Shadows can be applied in the track motion window (which you can open with the burron in the track header). Just like you can give a 3D orientation of your pictures in the track motion window.

Right click on media in the bin and choose from the popup window VIEW. There you can select the items you like to see.
