Doing a slide show movie.

You can use e.g. two video tracks: one for the pictures at the left side and one for the pictures at the right side.

Using track motion (you find this in the track header), you can place both tracksat the size and at the place where you would like them to be.

And ofcourse, more complicated slideshows are just as easy as this.

Also very easy: use a new track for each photo in the stack. Vegas pro has an unlimited number of tracks.
And use the track motion again to move the pictures in time.

Thanks for the advice.
Now, I notice that the background of the video is always black when my pictures pile up. How am I going to change the background color? Or I should ask, how should I put some background wallpaper so that my picture will pile up in front of the wallpaper?

For your background you can use anything. Just add an extra video track below your other video tracks. You can add generated media to this track, with the length of the project. E.g.solid colors, gradients, noise textures etc. And you can give some motion to these generated media. But you can also use your own pictures as background. That can be the same pictures as in the slideshow, but in greyscale and/or blurred. Or other pictures. Or any type of motion background etc. Motion backgronds can be generated in Vegas, or in programs like after effects or particle illusion. Or you find them on the internet (Free and paid).
The slideshow is going to be as nice as your phantasy can give you..

I’ve tried what you’ve said which is add another video track and put in my blurred picture as a background. But the background picture will stay in front and hided my slide-show pictures. How am I going to put my slide-show pictures in front of my blurred background pictures?

You have to move the track with the background below all the other tracks. You can simply drag the track in the trackheader downwards.

I’m currently working on the slide show video. I got something to ask. Like what I’ve said before, I put one photo on the left and one photo on the right. And the background is another blurred picture.
I want a more 3D effect so, do you know how to put shadow under the photos?

Shadows can be applied in the track motion window (which you can open with the burron in the track header). Just like you can give a 3D orientation of your pictures in the track motion window.

I found another problem. I put multiple photo in my slide show. I tried to change the size of each photo using the track motion. But once I change the size, it will change the size of ALL photo in that track. All the photo will be the same size but I don’t want this. How do you change the photo size individually in the same track?
