To change the size of the photos individually, there are two options:

    1) Place every picture on its own track (not very convenient when you have a lot of pictures).

    2) Use the keyframe tool that you find at the bottom of the track motion window. There you can change the track motion settings in time.

I am a newbie to Vegas MM 9.0. Please help me.
I am trying to take advantage of the feature where I can set timing, cutouts and transitions which are all preset in Preferences. I like what it can do for me. I set what I wanted in my Preferences. I organized my slides the way I want them to be imported in sequence.

But, no matter how I organize the images, the import process, seems to me, ignoring my setup importing the collection in some other random sequence.

What can I do to get the program to import images in my preset order?
Yes, the photos are sequentially numbered.

Secondly, Once imported to Project Media, I cannot figure out how reorder the file OUTSIDE of the timeline. Cannot manipulate slides order inside the Project Media file. Unless you can teach me tip I am missing on knowing?

If I re-order images in the time line, I mess up all the exact settings, undoing just what I was trying to take advantage of in the program.
Any suggestions or tips on what I am missing here? Your help appreciated.

You can use Production Assistant to import your files is the right order. Or just rename the files in a logic manner (ie 0001, 0002, 0003 etc) before dragging the files to the timeline.

RENAMWER is a free tool to rename your files:

BULK RENAME UTILITY is another fee tool:

But also Adobe Bridge can do this.

    Hi Sir,

Long time no reply to this topic. I think it’s about a year ago already and I’ve successfully made a video using Sony Vegas. This year, I plan to make a video too.
Here’s what I want to do: (Sample video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xjgemasr1Bw)
I want the video to be like watching a photo album photo by photo. Can Sony Vegas do it? And by the way, where can I get the background just like the video in youtube?

I really liked your slideshow and would like to know how you pulled off some of the transitions and effects. Very cool!
