What kind of emitters are you looking for? And did you know that particle illusion allows you to create custom-made emitters?

  • “Re: Vegas Pro 10 Losing Color/Contrasting With .wmv Files
by John Rofrano on Mar 7, 2011 at 12:51:22 pm

[Brandon Bias] “To further clarify my problem, I looked at the pixels that are supposed to be 100% black and they turn out a very dark gray (approximate #101010, or RGB 16,16,16).”
What you are seeing is the shift from Computer RGB to Studio RGB. If the file is rendered this way and you want to compensate for it, place the Sony Color Corrector plug-in with the Studio RGB to Computer RGB preset on the master video bus before you render. This will shift the values from the Studio RGB used by Vegas and the entire broadcast industry to Computer RGB used by the Internet and PC video.”

Does this also apply for PAL? Or just for NTSC?

Where did you get your muzzle flash? Don’t they contain an alpha channel?

Place them on the timeline in Vegas, right click on this event andchoose PROPERTIES. In the window that opens, do to the MEDIA tab and change the settings for ALPHA Channel to STRAIGHT or PREMULTIPLIED (just try them borth and see whether they activate the alpha channel in your footage.

Yes, this is what I was thinking. But no matter whether I place the effect upstream or downstream, the background layer is also affected. Probably I am doing something wrong. I will experiment a little bit more…

yes, with the unlock code that has been sent to you by Boris FX, Graffiti trial becomes fully functional for a limited time. So I have the feeling you might need to reinstall Windows first.
