After you made the selection of the right length, just press A as usual when working with the trimmer (make sure the cursor is placed at the position where you want to make your insert).

Or WHAT YOU ARE PROBABLY LOOKING FOR: you make a selection on the timeline consisting only of the gap. Then you open the insert in the trimmer and select after context clicking SYNC TRACK VIEW SELECTION TIME FROM (or UP) CURSOR

When you place your insert fragment on a higher track (lower track number), you will have to adjust its length to the lengt of the gap. However, when you add your insert to a lower video track (higher number), then there is no need anymore for adjusting the length of the insert (assuming that you have set the level of the videotrack at 100%)…

I still have another question: I tried to purchase the download versions of Boris FX and Boris Graffitti as a bundle Win for Sony Vegas.
I have downloaded the trial version for borth programs.
When I start the proces of buying this bundle, I have to enter the unique product ID. The problem now is that I have two product IDs, one for FX and one for Graffitti. However, the form on the websites allows me only to enter one product ID.
What can I do to purchase this Boris FX and Boris Graffitti bundle Win for Sony Vegas?
