[Mick Haensler] “[ennoidyam] “The problem is, those large Muslim Scenic Backgrounds for film and theatre are EXPENSIVE!!”

And in this day and age I don’t know how well that would go over. You might ruffle quite a few feathers

    I get it.

Very good catch (and very funny, too.)

You need a video mixer (more correctly called a video “switcher”) that allows ChromaKey or Green-Scrren or Blue-Screen.

You can likely RENT one from a local video production house or A/V rental company that does “Hotel Ballroom Shows”.

You’d need a large well-lit solid green (or blue) background (Photographer’s Paper comes to mind) and one camera to shoot the live actors and another to shoot the background image (a large photo would be fine.)

Without seeing the flicker I can only guess.

It COULD be that one of the 1800’s heads is clogged (cleaning doesn’t always fix it right away.)

    But..

What happens when you record from a DIFFERENT SOURCE?

That could help narrow the problem a bit.

Doesn’t sound like a cable problem, but I hope that fixes it.

    Best of luck with it!!

[Ty Ford] “My speeds don’t go that low.

    Yeah, but you’re still young.

    You’ll slow down eventually.

I dub DV to UVW 1800 every day.

I use the S-Video and there is never any flicker.

[Erik] “I suppose I could have the audio come out to my MOTU then the Crown amp.

Why not try that and see if the ticking goes away?
