Yes. Just connect your camera (firewire preferred) to the computer. Select the camera in Vegas and capture away. I just ran a trial with my little usb screen cam and it even worked with it. (Vegas 6)
Don’t know what to tell you. When I have the volume envelope do that, while the wave form does not show the change, it is changed when I play it in the preview. What if you prerender or ram render that section, does it come out right?
There is a GAIN line at the top of the audio track that can decrease gain. As you move it you will see a change in the wave form.
When you use a volume envelope and add ndes and make changes you will not see any changes in the wave form but you should hear the difference or change when you play the time line.
To zoom in you use event pan/crop and keyframes.
For slow motion you ctrl/drag the end of the event to the rigyht or if you have the full Vegas version (you didn;t say) you can use velocity envelopes.
Because you are fading between a regular shot and a magnified (or zoomed) shot I am assuming that you have figured out how to enlarge the picture via pan/crop. The next thing is to use keyframes, the little time line at the bottom of the pan/crop control window that has diamomnd shaped figures in it. PLace your picture in the regular time line and click the pan/crop. You will notice there is already a diamond (first keyframe) at the beginningof the pan/crop ti meline. Click on the end of the pan/crop time line and then make your adjustment to the picture (zoom in or out) A new keyframe will appear there. Now when you play the portion you will have a zoom froom the first keyframe to the second. You can place as many keyframes as you would like to achieve different appearances.
