I was inspired by the link that Steve Rhoden pointed to about the AAV Colorlab v1[1].0 beta 3 plugin. So I went to Moosehill and downloaded the plugin to test it out. Trouble is I can’t get it to work in Vegas 7.0e. Is anybody out there on Vegas 7.0e still, that can get this plugin to work? If so, how? I’ve sent an E-Mail off to Carl at Moosehill but no answer yet. I was hoping some of you good folks could lead me in the right direction? Thanks in advance for any and all tips! To be clear, I have DirectX 9.0c installed and Netframework 2.0 and my video card claims to support Shader 2.0 even Shader 3.0, so I do meet all the specified requirements. All the .dll’s install to their correct folders but when I drag and drop the effect onto footage in the timeline, I’m prompted to “Choose a Plugin”. Very odd. When I do pick the AAV ColorLab I’m left with a blank effects box. The same thing happens to the transition AAVTransLab.

    Hey Rob,
Glad you where inspired. Now to my knowledge, the new beta
version requires that you have a GPU accelerated graphics
card installed for it to work…since you say you fit all
the system requirements, i looked back and realized that
probably its more compatible with vegas 8.
Anyhow, the simple solution is then to use the earlier
version before the upgrades which still works beautifully,
and what i presume the director used in his short film from
    the fore-mentioned link.

Thanks for your help guys! At the exact time you posted your replies Carl E-Mailed me back, and you’re right I needed Beta 4 not Beta 3. Thanks once again for the direction, and especially thank you Steve for that link. Really enjoyed all the pearl of wisdom buried in those posts and tips.

Not that I need the credit 🙂 but it was I who gave you the link – I think.

Hi, Terry…………yes it was you who provided the link to the post that gave the solution to my problem. So, thank you very much for that, it was greatly appreciated. But for Steve I was referring to the link he posted, that lead to http://www.rebelsguide.com post which was the thread that inspired me to download and try that ColorLab plugin in the first place. Just so that’s clear. A hearty thank you to each of you, I now have that plugin working properly.
