Using Vegas alone it might be pretty hard. Unless you had a shot of a crack with a wall that you could key out. After effects would probably be the answer. I have it but haven’t had time to learn it yet.

If you manually move it you aren’t using AUTO ripple. Yes I deleted.

Just did an experiment that revealed that the envelopes (both audio and video) moved with the events when an event was deleted and auto ripple was on. (Vegas 6)

Yes and no. Vegas does not create the DVDs. You need to use DVD archetect. Look up the extras folder

Place your Bluff event on the time line. The right click it and choose properties > Media > and turn on the alpha channel at the bottom. For some reason the events come in with the alpha channels turned off by default.

Mercalli may well have a setting that would work for you.

This may be a dumb question but do you ahve a lot of other processes running on your computer such as background processes and virus programs? -
Just to expand on Mikes reply:
Select an event and place the curser in that event. Press S and you will split that event. It works every time. If you have no event selected it will split all tracks under the curser. If you do not want to split the audio part of a grouped Vid/audio then (U)ngroup them first and then select the video event. -
And if you have auto ripple enabled the right part will automatically shift over and join with the left part.
