Delete Time Interval Out Of Timeline, From All Lines At Once?
I’d like to be able to cut out, say, three seconds from various parts of my timeline. I know I can split each then drag the parts on the right over to the left until they meet.
I was hoping I could select a range of time on the top (with the yellow arrows) then click Edit > Cut or Edit > Delete but that seems to do nothing.
Is there any easy way to delete time from timeline?

Do what you were doing as far as selecting a time range and then press the Delete key.

And if you have auto ripple enabled the right part will automatically shift over and join with the left part.

I think I’m doing what you’re saying. Well, first of all, I press CTRL-A to select all tracks, then I click then drag to create a time region above the timeline so two yellow arrows are created.
I then hit the Delete key and things change but it’s not right. I’ve tried both with Auto-Ripple enabled and disabled. I would expect all tracks to just disappear as if that time never existed but it doesn’t. A nearby track marker to the right also doesn’t seem to be in correct position.
Any other ideas? 🙁

Peter, make sure that Auto Ripple is set to All Tracks, Markers and Regions (in the drop-down menu next to the toolbar icon) when you do this.
Also, it’s not necessary to do a Ctrl+A to select all your tracks.
Clicking in a blank space beneath your timeline should accomplish the same thing, even if a track is already highlighted.
