I have the older Blackmagic Ultrastudio 3D that uses Thunderbolt. It works fine.

You can rename files on transfer/transcode with Prelude. I don’t know if it’ll do exactly what the OP wants but I’d check that out.

iMacs are pretty good bang for buck machines. I wouldn’t even consider a Macbook Air for any serious work.

You don’t need to max out the SSD unless you have a looooooooot of applications or want to use that as a fast cache drive. I would put money on the CPU, GPU and RAM.

I googled up a brochure and it seems that it is a monitor problem. It doesn’t support that framerate.
