July 2, 2010 at 7:36 pm in reply to: Late Night Edit Session… Brain Fried… Simple Question…One of my complaints also. It is part of the advanced keyframe editor that doesn’t automatically apply first and last keyframes anymore. now it’s like working in FCP. You have to intentionally set keyframes.

You don’t mention what type of system you are using.
Only Symphony guaranteed two streams of RT HD.

June 11, 2010 at 4:52 pm in reply to: Converting a 30 frame project to a 24 frame projectThe problem is that you are removing the wrong extra fields. If you are trying to remove the pulldown in software, you have to assign the proper cadence (which fields are the extra ones) so that the software can remove them correctly.
HOWEVER…
If your 30 frame master was made from a 24 frame master, you will be okay once you establish the proper cadence.
If your 30 frame master was created from a bunch of 30 frame sources, then you won’t have a consistent cadence throughout your master. In this case, I would strongly recommend you go to a hardware solution like a Teranex. These high end boxes can actually adjust to changing cadence on a shot by shot basis in Real Time.
Not cheap though. You will need to find a local higher end post house or dub house who has this service available.

There is a lot to learn from the story, and i can’t do it justice in a sound bite. I will expound more this weekend when I have some time.

MC wants to update the firmware on your Mojo. This happens often with new releases of the MC software. Follow the directions and let it do it’s thing.

It’s built in. Drop the “3D Warp” effect which you will find in the image category of your effects.
Under “Shape” select “Page Fold”.
There is your page turn.

Only track as far as you want to. Without tracking dots on the rest of the shot, the image won’t move anymore. If you already tracked through the whole shot, just delete the later tracking dots.

Correct.
One thing to be aware of. The classic Mojo is firewire based. When you are launched on the system drive MC on it, Mojo takes over the internal firewire port. You can’t connect anything else to the internal firewire port. If you have additional firewire devices, they need to go to a third party firewire PCI card that you need to install.
If you aren’t on the MC drive, it won’t matter as the drivers will not be installed to take over the firewire port, so even with the Mojo attached, you can still use the internal firewire ports.

Use the paint effect. You can draw a shape around it, give it a slight blur, feather the edges, and us the tracker to follow it.
