this movie is about a group of guys who are a minority in the country live in, and that is what they mainly rap about
I have been working on the story for the last 4 months, but the director wants a style to the movie (I don’t feel we need that, i focus on getting the message across but he wants styling as well) and that is why I was wondering what that styling would be!

thanks for your reply
no problem with the original footage but I was thinking maybe the more effects you add on your video the less the quality will become
is there anything I should change in my setting/ preferences in order to get the best colors and video quality? rendering, playback control, video processing?

thanks a lot guys for your replies, my problem is the shots that that were shot with the effect! that makes it hard! that’s why i wasn’t sure what comes first! same scene, some with the effect already some without!

when I export the files through the P2 Log Pro I get a folder that contains all my video clips as QT movies and an xml file that when I try to import to the FCP i get a window that says :

Import xml
source: 003OD5.xml
Destination
options: Reconnect to media files
Include Markers
Include AUdio/Video effects

but when I click OK I get a message :
Warning:Non-critical errors were found while processing an XML document. would you like to see a log of those errors now?

which I have no idea what it means so I just import all QT files and work with them.

is your footage MXFs or quicktimes? If MXF, use log and transfer under the file menu.

I am using the P2 Log Pro to transfae all my files, I thought there is a way to save all this time and just import the files directly into FCP without having to go thought transcoding files. but what is the reason for not having these two options in my FCP?

“when I click “yes” to changing the setting to match the clip I get the following:
HD (960×720)

well this is really strange; when I check out the QT files after the transcoding they are 1280×720 (720p25/50)
and when I looked in FCP under frame size in the browser window, it says that all files are 960×720!!!
