What is the resolution of the photo? If the resolution is fairly high you might try to resample the photo in a photo editor and reduce the resolution to 72 dpi. High resolution photos will sometimes cause lines to flicker.

And audio doesn’t really take very long in Vegas.

Should be able to just add the 2nd audio track and mute or delete to original one without touching the video track.

You can download most of these utilities from videohelp.com . DVDdecrypter is a handy program to have and it’s free. -
You could also check the settings of your sound card. Just double click on the speaker icon in the lower right hand of the monitor…down by the clock. If there’s not an icon there then you’ll have to run your audio settings software…probably under the start menu somewhere. You can lower the line level coming into your sound card and probably accomplish what you need. Just be sure to adjust the OUT signal not the IN…there’s usually a tab to switch between record and playback levels. Although the other guys are correct, you really need the levels to be matched but this would get you by in a pinch.

What I would also do is render out the edited audio to a standard 44.1Khz 16 bit WAV file and save that file onto a CD as a data file. That way if you ever want to make another copy of the audio you can just copy the file to your hard drive and burn it as an audio CD. This way you don’t have to “rip” the file from the original CD in order to burn another copy later on.

I use Netscape 7.2 and have my preferrences set to ask about each cookie. I just tell it to accept cookies from this site…and no more ads. I suppose there is only 3 choices…accept cookies from the cow, wipe your cookies and get the ads every visit…or do not visit the site and not have to contend with the ads. I prefer to accept cookies from the cow as I benefit greatly from this forum.

I just took a gamble a couple of weeks ago on Ebay. I bought 50 brand new Sony Excellence MiniDV tapes for $94 (less than 2 bucks a piece). I received them and they were still sealed 5 to a box and shrink wrapped. So far the tapes have been perfect. These tapes normally sell for around $8 even at the discount online stores so I figured I got a pretty good deal.
