DV images fed through my vegas 6 to a monitor look great. By the time I have edited them – with no effects – and used standard settings in DVDA and burnt to disk I have a different story. The images are very dissapointing quality wise. Colour is flat, the sharpness has gone out of the images and they just look plain dull to me, especially against the original.

Has anyone else had this problem or is it my workflow.
    Thx

Just to clarify, that should read….”TV monitor” output I was looking at.

What is your process for getting to DVD? How are you rendering? What preset are you using? etc…

I have the process explained in Vol 4 #1 of my newsletters.

What is the resolution of the photo? If the resolution is fairly high you might try to resample the photo in a photo editor and reduce the resolution to 72 dpi. High resolution photos will sometimes cause lines to flicker.
