Thanks @Michael! I will certainly try those solutions you offered…

@Kenton, yes, .aep files can be dragged onto the timeline and used as media in lieu of redering out quicktimes within Premiere…

We do so many animations it has cut our time in production to NOT have to render QT’s then fix then re render when you can just use Dynamic Link and literally drag it onto the timeline…

We purchased 6 and 5.8 came bundled with the Avid MC download.

I installed it, however, it’s not in the Effect Palette. If I want to use it I have to open the program separately…

    Thanks @Ben!

I’m using a Drobo Drive, super slow to start with, with a Firewire 800 connection… That could certainly be the problem.

I tried consolidating to an internal 2TB Western Digital Drive and had the same outcome…

AFter I get done with this project I’ll make a few changes and see if that helps.

    thanks Shane…

    Great advice!

I’m having a strange problem with my transferred .mxf files from my hard drive.

When I AMA my files from my drive, a file that reads 46;01;22 from the card on the camera reads 9;42;20 from the harddrive… That’s quite a disparity. I won’t even tell you about the hour long clip and what it reads from the drive…

This isn’t the first time this has happened only the first time I’ve said anything because I could just consolidate it from the camera. I don’t have that luxury currently.
