Logic Pro X 10.0.7 was released last may.
[edit] couple hours later I also see Logic Pro X 10.1 in Mac App Store 🙂

October 5, 2014 at 8:09 am in reply to: Generator rendering on export even with timeline is renderedI’ve also sent bug report of this to Apple. Actually this bug is not restricted only to generators. All titles, transitions and generators rerender on export if you’ve used dropzones in those templates. So dropzones seem to be the problem.
This is really bad especially if you’ve some longer projects involving long templates with graphics.

Well my experience is that AJA T-TAP is much more stable than Blackmagic Mini Monitor. Actually Blackmagic Mini Monitor has been pretty much useless for me as it for some random reason makes my USB hardware (keyboard, mouse…) often disappear when connected. There’s lot of discussion going on in Blackmagic forum.
I also have AJA IO XT which is more expensive but it’s really stable and works well. It seems to be the way to go at least here in Finland for post production facilities using Thunderbolt I/O.

You can do exactly as you explained and that’s correct way of doing it. No problems putting progressive material to interlaced timeline.

August 14, 2014 at 9:37 am in reply to: Lens flare won’t export with an Alpha with ProRes 4444You can generate lens flares with alpha using for example MotionVFX mFlare (https://www.motionvfx.com/mplugs-1.html).

It seems to have lot of great features but the thing that I can’t do basic video playback without random jittery and audio crackling with my top end 2013 Retina Macbook Pro is show stopper. So for me it’ll remain just color corrector until these things get solved.

I think you can safely upgrade as CC2014 versions install next to old CC versions so you can still use older version if you notice some problems.

October 19, 2013 at 9:31 am in reply to: Quicktime Only 8 bit in CC? Is PPro is unsuable for professional finishing and online?I was testing this same issue last spring and my assumption is that Premiere shows Quicktime ProRes files on monitor or through video I/O (we hava AJA IO XT) as 8-bit but actually processes files as 10-bit. So there’s no way to monitor actual 10-bit output of Quicktime ProRes files even through video I/O. If I remember correctly there’s even slight quality difference of video I/O when video is paused and playing. DNxHD wasn’t showing any of these problems.

October 19, 2013 at 9:13 am in reply to: Who’s using Adobe Premiere Pro CC on a Share Netowrk (NAS)We’re running FCP7 on top of XOR Media Universal MediaLibrary UML (iSCSI + Blue Whale File system) through 1 gigabit ethernet connections to our Mac clients. Generally we get really good read/write speeds (110MB/s) and haven’t had big problems with FCP7.
Now we’ve started testing transition to Premiere Pro CC and there have been lots of strange problems. For example XDCAM HD is very very slow ang laggy when read from UML but IMX and Prores are fine. Also peak file generation eats all bandwidth. So Premiere Pro CC is definitely different beast than FCP7 when working on top of NAS/SAN.
I read somewhere Adobe doesn’t officially support working top of network share with Premiere. I think they should put more effort to this and give certificates to some systems they guarantee should work. And Adobe Anywhere is not the answer for most workflows.
