January 22, 2015 at 4:21 amI don’t know. I think the dream of Logic Pro X as a proper post-SoundtrackPro replacement may be misguided.
Cause it’s a DAW, you can certainly use it to mix audio for video- but all the literature and marketing focuses on it as a music creation tool. So far there’s been no clear sign that Apple intends for it to compete head on with ProTools in the Video Post Sound space.

January 22, 2015 at 5:32 pmQuote: “When Logic imports Final Cut Pro X XML, it now organizes audio tracks according to their assigned roles in Final Cut Pro.”
So that’s cool, but X still needs a Roles Inspector implemented, where bussing, fx, sends, faders, and a master can all be handled in the NLE.
