on the page at sony it says that in DVCAM modeyou can copoy the timecode from a non-tape source when recodrding to tape.

Thanks Chris. I did a little diggin in the manual and on 3DAttack and I found that the multipass render doesn’t work quite like I thought it did.

i am no powerpoint expert but i believe that powerpoint needs either mpeg1 or mpeg2 files, and i think you need a plugin to play the mpeg2 files.

are you looking for a styleized look or a realistic(how realistic is perfume flowing from a person??? ;)) look?
There is a tutorial here on the cow of using vector paint as a colorful aura trail like effect. might want to look at that. -
Well, if you are working in DV, why are you trying to render to uncompressed????
Also try to just import your motion file into fcp and put in the timeline and render it there.
It sounds as if you have some setting set incorrectly or something. I have been runnign motion on a much less powerful machine with very few problems. I am thinking it is either opporator error(settings) or you might have other applications installed that have messed up your ssytem( a-la classic extension conflicts)
