Can someone explain the multipass render to me.
I need to render out my file so that I have a photoshop file with seperate layers for the objects in my scene. From my understanding objects only get saved as channels and not layers in photoshop. And I need to animate in after effects and the channels are no good to me there.
Is it possible to get layers of objects with the multipass renderer, or do I have to render out each object seperately?

Use a composite tag on each item that needs to have it’s own matte (so with this matte it can be isolated from the full render). Go under object buffer in the tag and give it a unique number.

Thanks Chris. I did a little diggin in the manual and on 3DAttack and I found that the multipass render doesn’t work quite like I thought it did.
