MOTION DEAD ON ARRIVAL,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,SLOW-MOTION
A VERY UNHAPPY MAC DEDICATED USER, EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED WITH SLOW-MOTION :
I’ve been trying to use Motion v1.0.1 unsuccessfully for 10 days and I am now expected to pay for an upgrade for a product that didn’t work in the first place.
I am extremely disappointed after having been persuaded to purchase this product by an Apple salesperson who assured me that this was the ‘After-Effects’ killer application after showing me the on-screen ‘flying’ graphics demonstration at the Apple store UK. My graphics look nothing like this, even after taking it into an Apple store to ask why; I expected sharp, high def images as with the Apple demo but am getting a compressed, interlaced DV-looking file.
by the way who makes the Apple demo graphics YOU SEE IN THE PROMO AND THE STORE AND WEB see the new flash display on the WEB for apple https://www.apple.com/finalcutstudio/ do they use final cut pro and motion ANYONE HAVE THE ANS
Can anyone resolve the points below encountered using Motion, otherwise I will HAVE TO SWITCH to After-Effects or Combustion as I have no faith in the upgrade solving the problems
1. Extremely slow – even though I am running THE CROWN JEWELS a G5,2dp, 4G RAM, NVIDIA Card GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL, LACIE 1tb HD with 30′ Display
2. Continual crashing of the program and on export
3. No audio playback when trying to sync text to markers
4. Movie files growing in size by 4-5 frames when exporting .MOV file back into Final Cut Pro HD5. Playback of text sequences are erratic
6. Scrolling text sequences are not smooth – having bought Motion to overcome this problem within Final Cut Pro7. Quality of exported files are not Broadcast quality despite using high def codac and animation codac lostless when viewed on an external reference pro-monitor
I would of expected this from a PC running Microsoft … BUT NOT APPLE
I am obviously feeling ripped-off at this point; I’ve been taken for a ride with the Newton, been taken for a ride with .Mac, but I’ve let that slide – this is is the last straw; surely there must be a law against selling a product which claims no rendering, smooth playback, never having to stop the flow of your work, but delivers something completely different – a dead end, deadlines not met, job lost and sleepless nights.
MR UNHAPPY 🙁
