    Thanks to all of you.

Surprising to have a new “PRO” application without this funktion, isn´t it?
Hoping that the funktion will be incorporated soon.

“FCPX didn´t work for me – but I got advice and now I am happy – for the time being …”

I mean that I am likely to not understand a lot sometime in the future.

    Great help, this forum.

    Problem solved!

I had the same camera name assigned to both video angles!

Changed that and now I get the three angles in the angle viewer!

Another problem I solved on my own:

Found out that I must have a Project selected to get an empty timeline. Now I am able to cut between the angles.

Coming from FCP6 I find the FCPX confusing. The windows in the window are untitled, the libraries – events – projects stuff is not easy to understand in the beginning. I have had two lengthy calls to Apple support without getting problems solved.

But I am sure it will be easier with some more practice.

    Thanks for the help!

No, I could not import the whole clip. But it is al long clip – 5 min – and I could use the first third of it. Then I plan to delete the clip and then be able to do a backup of the whole HDD. Just hopin´…

Do you mean that the new .mp4 could replace the faulty one inside BPAV?

I´ll give it a try tomorrow.

But how could this thing even be possible? (No, I don´t need to know …)

Yes, it is played from the harddrive with XDCam Browser from start to end without problems.

Found that in the Archive menu there is a command “Fetch metadata for clip” which works. Easier than copy and paste. But it is still an extra action needed, which before was automatic.

    Running FCS 2 – FCP 6.0.6.

If upgrading to SL requires upgrading to FCS 3, then I will definitly downgrade the OS to Tiger.

If the bug is fixed, why are the gammas not the same in QT, DVDSP, PRORES and FCP?

How do I calibrate the monitor other than in preferences?

In Reduser.net there was a massive uproar against this bug.

I, too, is angry with Apple regarding the unconsistance in the pro applications.

    Thinking of downgrading to Tiger.

March 7, 2011 at 8:55 pm in reply to: FCP Display Gamma Problem (Everything Dark)

I have the same problem. Good color in FCP gives too bright footage in ProRes and DVD Studio Pro.
This makes it impossible to rely on grading in FCP.
