Thank you for the information. It was very helpful. I also found that compressor will also convert to ProRes. It’s always exciting when a problem gets solved. It’s hard until you know how, then it is easy.
Thanks again Neil for your assistance. Everyone on the BB has always been very helpful. I can now but the tissues away and open a beer.

I didn’t solve the problem. What helped was to save, close FCP
restart. Then went back in worked fine. It would be nice to know what creates the problem to begin with. It’s annoying…

Thanks Rob for your information. I was asking for for friend who is trying to figure out if a 90 minute narrative at 1080 24p can be on one timeline or would they have to break it up in to segements. I felt it was an awkward question since there are so many variables. However, twelve hours that in itself interesting.

So far I have not gotten any “out of memory notices.”
Tomorrow is another day…to freak out. I thank you again for your suggestion and direction. It is a learning process. I wish I was in a production company as an editor assistant, intern anything, I would learn so much faster….

Thanks for the recommendations. I have taken your recommendation and went to Sequences and tic on render RGB. See if it helps. The pictures have been brought down, but will check to see if all have been reduced.

The only thing I have not tried is uninstalling FCP [only] and re-install. This was recommended to me. I am such a coward…

Update:

I brought up Bridge through the finder. Then I closed it through exit.

When I went back into AE I retried using Animation browse pre-sets and tried from file > Browse Bridge, it came up.

I don’t understand why that would make a difference, because after I had closed bridge by using the corner x the link stopped working.

I feel like Alice in Wonderland, I went through the mirror.

However, if this had not happened my next step would have been to unistall [I would have read carefully before using Clean script, maybe yes, maybe no] and reinstalled. For now….back to work

I thank the forum for the patience of a beginner…
