    Danny,

I got the file, and whilst it plays on my machine, unfortunately it does not cover the three screens….

I have the matrox setup to present a 1920 x 480 screen. If I stretch WMP so that it covers the three displays, when I play the video, the image starts half-way across the LHS display, moves across the center one, and then stops half-way across the RHS one..

In your post, you mentioned you had got the display to cover the three screens – how did you setup your matrox.

Interestingly, if I render a 1920 x 480 in VMS I get the same behavior with my rendered video as i do with the one you sent me…

I am sure it is something I am doing wring…

Any pointers/suggestions would be much appreciated…

    Regards,

    Stewart Bourke

    Many thanks again

Unfortunately it did not get here – my account as a 10mb-per-email limit, so that should be well within the size.

If it was convenient, I have an ftp server that you could put it up on – if you had an email address I could send the ftp details to that would be great – otherwise maybe your adrive location – whichever is more convenient for you.

    Many thanks,

    Danny,

Just wondering if you had had a chance to try resending the file? Is there a specific location I should check?

Again, many thanks for making the clip..

    Danny,

Unfortunately I did not receive anything – maybe my anti-spamming description of my email address overdid it a bit..

    my addr is: stewartbourke@eircom.net

Many thanks for taking the time to do this..

  • Danny,

    My email address is:

    stewartbourkeATeircomDOTnet

Just replace the AT with the usual symbol, and the word ‘DOT’ with a period

Just to stop the spam robots…

    many thanks,

    Stewart Bourke

  • Danny,

That is exactly what I need to do – many thanks.

    Eric,

Quite the contrary – timing is good… thanks for the opinions – and frankly I have been starting to worry about this in recent times as the footage starts to come together. The show is not until early December, so we still have some time, and this very topic is being looked at again later this week…You are correct – we want to focus on the kids in the talent show, and so maybe lots of different images on multiple screens may be a bit too distracting… It is really down to finding the correct balance…

    Pete,

I was the one who posted the original question, and the response worked perfectly.

The one thing that caught me was even though I selected events, I had not right-clicked and selected ‘create new group’ whilst the events I wanted were all selected (you can press ‘G’ as well).

You then have to make sure you position you mouse over the *very* end of either the the first or last clip. I would recommend you zoom in on the timeline to be able to do this…

The cursor has to change to the small square with the bi-directional arrow over it – otherwise it will not work..

    I hope this helps.
