Get an inexpensive jib with a ten foot arm and mount it in the back of a pickup truck or build a platform coming off of a trailer hitch and have a steadicam guy ride on it. Before you tell me I’m goofy, we were the first guys to mount cameras in off-road cars for ESPN Speedworld.

Mark, is your actual issue that you’re afraid of being ripped off for your credit card info? Maybe you should fill out the form on the contact page and have them call you. I’m sure you can stuff a $10 bill in an envelope and mail it to them.

The 503 is a sweet head for the money. On the stix, I would opt for light weight over rapid setup. If you’re shooting news, that’s different.

Thanks William. Glad I’ve been of some positive value to you in the past.
the clip browser does work but what we do is import the files to the computer through the Transfer software, bypassing FCP altogether. The weird thing is that it’s not consistant. Our plan is to record at several different frame and quality rates and see what works and what doesn’t.
BTW, I’m working n a book called Warganisms. I’ll put you on the pre-sale list when the time comes.
