Actually, it has everything to do with the camera or lens size. Most mid range cameras like full size DVCAM would take a 4×4 filter. Smaller cameras can get by with a 3×3 filter. Our HD camera with a 4.7mm lens takes a 4×5.6 filter. The prices rise with the size of the glass. There is plenty of good glass available on E-Bay. Most rental houses carry a lot of 4x4s. 3x3s are usually bought by the semi-pro types who know they need a filter but don’t have a big rig to put it on.

No. There is no AB plug on the DVX camera. You’ll need something else. We have an AB plate in a hip bag and use an exension cable to the light. It sucks. Also. the DVX only has a show. No 1/4 20 screw hole.

We bought a Chevy 1 ton extended wheelbase. It was a toss up between the Sprinter and the Chevy. Well, it gets hot (as hell) here in Arizona and we decided on the lower roofline of the chevy soes we could park in our air conditioned garage with 8′ garage doors. It not for that, the Sprinter was our other choice. Our Chevy came with the plumbers racks inside and I can store everything in the bins, leaving the floor open for larger items. We have one for grip/electric, one for lighting, and one for A/V. They are made by Adrien (or Adrian) Steel and they have a large selection of units including locking doors. You could rack the driver’s side floor to ceiling and still have room for rolling carts and E Track on the other side. FedEx bought about a million Sprinters and the drivers are really happy with ’em.

Very Clever, Bill. By all acounts, your simple method should do away with numerous problems, such as bad sound, improper cuts, and credits that contain misspells. You need to coin a term, similar to “The Ken Burns Effect”. I really think you have something there. I’ll pass it on to my editors.
