Apply time remapping to the comp, then apply the loop_out expression to the time remapping property. The default “cycle” expression should work — it’s under the “property” expression drop-down menu, I believe.

Is your source audio MP3? If so, convert it to AIFF or WAV in QT player (for example) before importing into AE.

If your current card works, keep it and spend the money on RAM. Unlike 3D apps, AE doesn’t care which graphics card you use.

Can’t speak for Premiere, but I’d wager it’s about the same.

Hit the triangle at the top right of the info palette and change to 8-bpc there. It’s possible to have it set to 16-bpc in an 8-bpc project.

Instead of using write-on, draw a mask, then apply effect>render>stroke. Animate the stroke’s end point.

a) buy zaxwerks invigorator
b) Apply AE’s effect>simulation>shatter. If you use shatter to give the text depth, and remove everything around the text by shattering, it can work. Search the COW tutorials for more on that one.

Invigorator is probably better for you, though.
