Fields are done first, Aharon, so stretching in the OM will mess up the fields.
It’s best to drop it into a 486 comp then render that.

If you set your comps up without talking to the post house, you risk rendering everything over again. You may not have time to do that.
What flavour of HD is it? 720p? 1080i? What are the specs of their HD film? You need to match them.
You have a responsibility as a motion graphics specialist to deliver according to the proper technical specs as determined by the final output of the post house. Don’t let your boss prevent you from doing that.
Call the post house. If they’ve done HD before, they will have their own workflow, and will appreciate your asking them before you deliver, believe me.

Actually, since Twixtor has been rejigged, I’ve found that it can handle shots that ReTimer can’t.
I’d demo both.

What does your editor want? Where is your file going? If it is going to tape, and you are sending it to a post house, ask them. They should know the frame size, and what kind of digital file/codec they want.

You could probably edit the preferences.txt file … but do so at your own risk, having saved a copy first.
Sorry, I don’t know of a menu-type command to purge the list.

Search the AE help for “time remapping”. For more tips, search the COW using the same.
Note that TR won’t actually create frames between your original frames, so when it slows down, you’ll see jerkiness. To do it right, shoot high-speed for slo-mo, then use TR to speed it up to normal running speed. Otherwise, you’ll need a plugin such as Twixtor to create the intermediate frames for slo-mo.
