Consider that the original footage consisted of things moving around, thus making them slightly soft due to motion blur. When we stabilize the footage, those things are now made static, making the softness due to motion blur more noticeable.
(my 2 cents)

Yes. Give them the final, but post a big watermark or something on the video until you get paid. This shows you did the work, and would like to deliver, but want to get paid. Re-check your original deal memo to see what your terms were (like you haven’t done that already …)

Got a screengrab of the timeline, with options visible for light, 55, floor?

Assuming the superhero was not shot on greenscreen, you need to draw a mask (rotoscope) around the super hero, then place a shot of the building under the hero in the timeline.

On DVCPROHD issues, I haven’t heard any, just experienced them.
Sorry, no tips on the greenscreen. I’d get to know keylight pretty well, though surprisingly enough, sometimes multiple instances of the color key effect, with different greens, can also do the trick. Sometimes it helps to treat the footage first, to make keying easier, then use the keyed footage as an alpha matte for the original footage.

In case anybody else out there is wondering (not you guys, ’cause you know) flopping is around the Y-axis, and flipping is around the X-axis.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flipped_imageSo “upside-down” is flipped, not flopped. Kewl.

Indeed.
By the way, if you have quality issues when rendering to the DVCPROHD codec when you’re done, consider rendering to the Animation codec first with AE, then use QT player to export to the DVCPROHD codec.
Jus’ sayin’.

This is a “but this one goes to eleven” discussion.
Why don’t you increase point size of the letters and animate from 90% to 100%?

2. Make sure that the anchor point of the text is in the middle of the text. To give two things the exact same position, opt-click on the “follower’s” position property, then drag the expression pickwhip to the “leader’s” position property. Check the help.
3. Position the background object so it is completely hidden behind the passing object as some point. Then adjust the background object’s layer-in-point so it appears just before the passing object reveals it.

Take the photo/video and draw the blueprint over it in something like Photoshop. Dissolve between the two in AE, or maybe use the gradient wipe effect.
The blueprint has to be drawn from the photo. That’s the general answer. Unless you had more specific requirements …?
