You might want to call them. Sometimes people don’t open these things until the last minute.

I’d say the sequence is fine, if you can re-import it and see it all in AE.
QT might be choking on it if it’s too big to play smoothly from your chosen disk. Have you tried posting in an Avid forum?

What happens when you reimport the sequence into AE?

If AE were to be used, maybe Trapcode Echospace would do what you need?

Kurt, if we had the same problem as you, we could probably say right off the bat what might be causing it. But we don’t have that problem right now. So we could either ignore your request, or try to help you solve the problem by asking these questions: 🙂
– what other apps are running at the same time? Anti-virus?
– does Activity Monitor report any high RAM usage?
– what are you doing when you get the spinning BeachBallOfDeath?
– how big are the source files in the comp?
– does this happen with all comps/projects?
– are your source files on your system drive?
– Did it ever work properly on this system? Any changes since then? -
You have two options, as far as I know:
1- take still screenshots of the website and animate a separate mouse cursor in AE
2- use Camtasia (check the Frequently Asked Questions at the top of the forum)For option 1, use a high screen resolution if you expect to zoom into your website. This method allows you to animate the mouse at your leisure, instead of real-time while Camtasia is capturing. It also allows you to move around the websit nicely. After you’ve done most of the work in AE, you might have to place an adjustment layer over your captures and apply a 1-pixel blur to soften sharp lines so they don’t flicker.
For option 2, you have to capture activity in real-time, but this might be the best option if the website has a lot of interaction and Flash that you’d have to recreate manually in AE by capturing and re-animating stills.

Anyway, I think Dave meant the switch at the top of the timeline, not the comp window …

You should post this in the Compression Techniques forum. And yes, Flash video is best for cross-platform compatibility.
