This may seem like a seriously complex problem, but surprisingly it isn’t,
So the system restores and constant re-installs are totally not necessary.
It is something as simple as a driver, a codec, a software or plugin you have that is
conflicting with Vegas, and so crashes it at startup.So whatever you installed are automatically updated a month ago when the
problem occurred, you have done it again this time. The problem for me is that
i do not know what you have on your system (by the way quicktime has nothing
to do with it)…. So the most common one is, do you have Windows automatic
update enabled? if so, and you see it recently updated, then uninstall that
update and see…. Or have you installed anything at all on your system

No, you dont need to worry about quality loss. Even though there will be
loss to some degree, it wont be perceivable to the naked eye, so sometimes
all this talk about quality loss thru re-rendering is much hoopla about nothing!But, you can still easily crush the whole quality loss issue if you choose, by
rendering out using a lossless codec like Lagarith which is free. Simple and easy!Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

Because you are rendering Vegas Nested files on the timeline, that’s why
it is happening… Render out those individual nested files first, and then
drop those rendered pieces of video back on the timeline replacing those

Very interesting question Nigel. I on the other hand works in the Broadcast
industry, creating Television Commercials, Corporate Videos, Broadcast content
for cable and other range of Advertising mediums, & always deliver at 720p or
1080p. Therefore most of my delivery is done online, where i upload the
finished content in mostly the AVC MP4 or Quicktime PhotoJpeg format to my
clients, but on rare occasions i do put some as Data on DVD Discs for some
clients, its not really a dying format here in Jamaica or the Caribbean, they

There is no problem Marc, simply have the rendering quality set to “Good”

Did you try the program i recommended to you?
You can quickly download the trial and use it quite easily to create your DVD.
Its already set up to some degree, You can drag your video in it and burn same

Unfortunately im not seeing an option to slow it down.
But then i always use the trusted Legacy Text Generator and use the keyframe

One thing you haven’t tried! Try disabling/turning off the GPU in Vegas,
that sounds like an issue caused with a conflict with the GPU. Try that and see first.Steve Rhoden (Cow Leader)

For your information, Vegas is not a dead end NLE. And why should they
stop promoting Vegas? Are you not still using it yourself?
Updates are coming and further development of Vegas has not ceased,

Because you have all the tracks selected at once.
