Sony Vegas crashes at startup
Hi!
I’m having issues with Sony Vegas crashing at startup, pardon me if this is not the correct place to ask, but I’m kind of desperate.
Anyway, this also happened about a month ago, but doing a system restore helped to fix it. I also did a system restore today but it still crashes. Here’s the error message I get:

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but to no avail. Last time this happened I also tried installing Vegas Pro 11, but that crashes as well. Basically I’ve tried almost every solution I’ve found, QuickTime player (which I don’t know how that could be the issue anyway), updating my drivers, and as I already said, system restore, which worked the last time.
I really don’t understand why this happens and how to fix it, so I’d very much appreciate some help.

This may seem like a seriously complex problem, but surprisingly it isn’t,
So the system restores and constant re-installs are totally not necessary.
It is something as simple as a driver, a codec, a software or plugin you have that is
conflicting with Vegas, and so crashes it at startup.So whatever you installed are automatically updated a month ago when the
problem occurred, you have done it again this time. The problem for me is that
i do not know what you have on your system (by the way quicktime has nothing
to do with it)…. So the most common one is, do you have Windows automatic
update enabled? if so, and you see it recently updated, then uninstall that
update and see…. Or have you installed anything at all on your system

A while ago I installed a plugin to Sony Vegas, but that’s pretty much all I’ve installed on it. I have uninstalled it but it doesn’t seem to help.
The last Windows update happened on the 17th, but Vegas worked properly until yesterday. This was also the case the last time, when a Windows update happened a few days ago but Vegas worked for days afterwards until not working anymore.
I haven’t really installed anything recently either.
I’m really quite confused as to why this happens, I know someone else that this happened to, but she just bought a newer version and it worked for her. Sadly I don’t exactly have a way to buy 13.0 at the moment, and I doubt it would help anyway.

As i suggested, uninstall that Windows update that was done to your

You should also know that Vegas Pro 12 itself had quite a few free updates with a lot of fixes after build 563. Build 770 was the last one.
